At the beginning of 2023, I was approached by Public Eye to create visualizations for their latest research on the export of neonicotinoids from the EU to other countries. These dangerous pesticides are banned in the EU, yet some EU companies continue to export them outside the EU.
I worked with Public Eye to create minimalistic and clean maps that effectively communicate the data they collected. The maps showcase which countries export and import neonicotinoids, and the graph displays the quantity that each company is exporting. I provided both vertical and horizontal (smartphone and desktop) layout options.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Public Eye on such an important project. After several discussions and versions, we arrived at results that met their expectations. These maps and graph are now used on their Website, Twitter and Instagram account.
