The European Cartographic Conference EuroCarto will take place from 9 to 11 September 2024 in Vienna! We wanted to encourage participants to consider coming by train instead of flying. Many cities offer excellent connections to Vienna.
For this purpose, I've made this map highlighting many European cities, with the time it takes to get to Vienna by day or night train. The map had to be minimalist to draw attention to what’s essential. To fit in well with the official EuroCarto website, the map is in black and white, with only the colours of the logo in the title and highlighting the central element of the map: Vienna.
